Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson on Wednesday launched three handsets -- Satio, Aino and Yari -- priced between Rs 16,950 and Rs 35,950.
The mobile phones would be equipped with rich music, imaging, gaming, content services and applications and were launched as part of its new 'Communication Entertainment' consumer proposition.
Satio, Aino and Yari would be priced at Rs 35,950, Rs 28,950 and Rs 16,950, respectively.
"We want to bring to the consumer a value proposition and with these phones we have converged music, imaging, games and other applications," Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications India President Anil Sethi told reporters.
The company also intends to add about 100 new Sony Ericsson Experience stores by 2010, but declined to divulge any investment details.
Asked about the company's market share, Sethi declined to comment.
Sethi said, "Going ahead the focus will be on bringing more converged devices. However, our W series, C series will also continue."
He added that the company would bring out phones with prices upwards of Rs 4,000.
"In the days to follow, we will be rolling out an aggressive marketing campaign to support the launch of these products and to allow consumers to experience these products," Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications India General Manager Sudhin Mathur said.
