Stocks to watch: IFCI, Lanco Infratech

It was a good trading day for the markets wherein it opened on a very euphoric note and proceeded to trade steady during the first half of day but slipped little bit in second half of the day. The Sensex ended up 152.70 points or 1.02% at 15138.40, and the Nifty was up 45.20 points or 1.04% at 4401.55.

Technical analyst Rahul Mohindar of Viratech India.Com is positive on IFCI, Lanco Infratech.

This is how Rahul Mohindar views stocks on board:

On GMR Infrastructure:

GMR Infrastructure has made excellent claw back today primarily due to the strong opening that we saw overnight but sustaining it is possibly going to be a bit tough; it need to have a closing above Rs 850 again. So unless we see that happening I do not think it's going to make a comeback possibly it would just be a bounce, which is once off. I won't read in too much into just the intra-day rise; Rs 850 is a critical barrier.

On Lanco Infratech:

Lanco Infratech on the longer-term looks fairly promising. It above Rs 240; we have a price target of Rs 285 which one can even achieve in the short to medium-term. So visible out performer, I would like to stay in this stock.

OnSBI:

SBI has been positive for quite a while; it's been an out performer and what we need to keep in mind is that from these levels Rs 1,650-1,700 for that kind of a gain that one is trading so maybe for another Rs 50-70, I wont be willing to take it.

On IFCI:

IFCI has been on a buy list for us and we would be moving into Rs 68-69 levels in the short-term. So whether the market goes here or there this seems to be an out performer. I think there is tremendous clarity that this stock is possibly heading on to a clear upside.

On Ranbaxy Laboratories:

Ranbaxy Laboratories seems to be out performing that and maybe one have a good 7-8% upside in the stock but when we look at its peers the chart looks negative side.

Disclosures:

It is safe to assume that my clients and I may have an investment interest in the stocks/sectors that have been spoken about. We may also have several positions and calls in the stocks discussed today.
