Japan's Nikkei was up 0.19% or 30.67 points at 16,332.06. Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 0.25% or 58.56 points at 23,519.17. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted gained 0.35% or 30.93 points at 8,749.24. Singapore's Straits Times was down 0.36% or 12.16 points at 3,376.28. South Korea's Seoul Composite surged 1.26% or 22.69 points at 1,825.72.
